Let me start by saying that this MAY NOT be the case for YOU, when you’re styling your own hair for work or a night out – but when you’re having your hair professionally styled… please trust me.
Our products are the ‘DIRT’ we utilize to get your hair to behave how we want it to and hold the way we need it to. If there’s already dirt and oil present, layering our products on top will mix and may get gummy, add a grayish/white cast and add unwanted weight causing hair to be harder to work with, fall faster and simply just not look great!
If someone with day old+ hair adds some dry shampoo on their own, before they sit down to have their hair styled, that can limit the stylist from using certain hot tools and products they may have wanted use to provide your requested style.
That day old+ dirty hair may work perfect for you to throw your hair up in a cute messy bun, claw clip or twist on any other day, but on wedding day your stylist needs a clean canvas to work with!
